Greensburg Benefit Road Trip

Started out day with breakfast - Vairon, Jason and Javelyn met to start out to a big day of activity before the show.  They traveled to KACY-FM to do a radio interview with DJ Marshall Ice.  Fun times.  Javelyn remarked it was one of the best interviews she’s ever been on.  They then went on to print out a bunch of flyers, and handed them out to the students of Cowley College.  From there, the crew headed to Sonic for a famous Sonic slush and lunch.

After lunch, they went to Winfield, Kansas to check on the music equipment which will be donated for the concert from Willoughby’s Music.  Jake Willoughy greeted them at Willoughby’s and showed the amazing speakers, drums and amps which will be used at the Greensburg Benefit event tomorrow.  Everyone was moved by the generosity of Willoughby’s Music.

On to Cowley High School where the gang peppered the cars with flyers for the concert.  Next on the trip was stopping by to meet Steve Butler of the First Baptist Church and picking up a projector and screen donated by the church for the benefit.  Then, on to hair car by Heather & Vicki of the Hairtek.

After that, Jason, Vairon and Javelyn had dinner at the Chinese buffet place again ... yum!  Then off to Walmart to get some necessary items for tomorrow.

Back to the Best Western Atrium Hotel, they met up with Mike Coulter, Javelyn’s drummer, who helped Jason put the large X-it Rite Records and Oops Productions posters mounted on foam boards.  Jason, Javelyn & Vairon were then interviewed for the Greensburg Benefit Concert, then did the tough job of editing all of the footage gathered for the Benefit Concert.

After working until 2:00 am in the morning, the team called it quits on trying to put the video together as technology and sleep deprivation was getting the best of them.
